Anyone missing a yellow labrador?

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

This afternoon a female yellow labrador appeared at our house at Plai Lam in a most distressed condition. Most of her tail was hanging off, down to the bone and badly infected.

She was totally exhausted and from the look of the wound on her tail she has been on the run for at least a week.

She is between 1 and 2 years old and is very docile and friendly but no collar and no form of identification. I think that she has been well cared for at sometime

but is now very thin.

We have taken her to our vets who is treating her and keeping her in, but there is a strong possibility that the tail will have to be removed.

Please PM me if you know of anyone missing a pedigree yellow lab. If no one claims her I guess that we will be looking for a home once she is better, as we already have a house-full of mutts.

Due to the urgency of getting her to the Vets I was unable to take a picture of her.

get well soon yellow labrador....... hope she can keep her tailsad.png

Well done yet again Gatorade! Very kind hearted of you.

Its ok the owner might not reconize her in this state better to go to vets first

though i am suspicious that she did not have a collar on

allot of people have to leave samui and cannot find a home for their dog so they just take the collar of and let it go.

Maybe check around to see if anyone has asked to give away a dog recently that might be the ower.

On the plus side if you like dogs then having a 100 per cet labrador for free is not too bad they are smashing dogs very loyal and friendly.

Hope all works out.

please please can we see a picture of her ,i m sure when we see her people will fall in love and get a home,,,,,

Thank you so much everyone for your kind responses. I never cease to be amazed at peoples kindness.

The Lab has made good progress and her infection seems to be well under control. Although her tail will probably have to come off in a couple of days time

when she is in a stronger condition.

I have just received an offer of a home for her from a family in Rayong but I will send out updates just in case things don't work out, and in any case

once out of the Vet's I will post some piccy's.

Cheers Gator

Good on you Gatorade, all the good deeds you have done with animals in the past. Karma will favor you.thumbsup.gif

Sometime earlier last week I remember seeing a big colour-printed reward poster for a lost golden lab. The dog was quite nice looking and the notice caught my attention.

It was in Bo Phut, on a lamp post outside one of the Family Marts or Smile shops (LH side) between the lights and Zazen, heading in the direction of Mae Nam.

I came back that way yesterday afternoon, after reading this post, and stopped at all of them to see if I could spot it. Looks like the heavy rains of last week have stripped away everything made of paper, and there was no sign of it.

Why not drop a line to the folks at the Dog Rescue Centre? I'm sure that the owners will have asked there, so there's a chance that they might have left contact details.

Hope it all works out, and respect to you for taking care of the dog.

Any news? Even from Europe i worry.

Hi Patsycat

She is still in the vets and her tail had to be removed last night.

Her blood tests improved enough for her to be operated on but still not 100%.

We are just hoping that the infection didn't extend into her spinal column.

I will give an update as soon as I know how she is doing.

When I get her home I will send out some pics.

Quick update on the Lab, Aka "Stumpy". Blood test showed improvement and she is making very good progress.

She is eating well.

There are some TV members who have already offered her a good home.

I will send out pics as soon as he is back with me.

How's Stumpy doing?

Extremely well. She has made amazing progress and has been shampooed and wormed today and will be leaving the vets this coming Tuesday.

I will take some photos on her return.

We have a very kind offer of a home which sounds like dog paradise, from a lady who lives on the other side of the Gulf.

Maybe a Cambodian hot dog stall!

Seriously, she will be residing near Pattaya.
