White / Green Screen in Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

I'm an aspiring amateur photographer (a.k.a I just want to take some photos at home with friends) and would like to purchase a white or green screen in Chiang Mai with stands.

Does anyone know places available? I did find one shop renting them but not selling them because they said they purchased it in Bangkok.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about something like this:

Appreciate any help in advance!

PhotoBug just up from Chang Pueak Gate can order them. Talk to Pop or Joom.

You can also buy some music stands PVC pipe for the crossbar, and a roll of wide-format inkjet paper and make it for probably far less than the Chinese commercial stuff.

Thank you.

I went to the shop today. Unfortunately the only one they have is absolutely huge; bigger than the room I wanted to put it in.

Appreciate any more input

ForumUserName,

You might find this YouTube video interesting.

You can really get buy without as much stuff as you might think. When I used to have a home studio, I only had a gray background and used it much like the one in the video. Provided a lot of versatility and excellent results.

A green screen is used to knock out backgrounds and often insert another (background). Green or often blue is used as it is not a color one might have worn and will contrast and help with the knockout, used mostly in film or video (rarely in stills). It would be much easier to learn to use a simple stand alone knockout program or use the tool that Photoshop has in it to do just that. If you use a green screen the color of the screen may kickback onto the subject (fringe light) and then you'll need to remove that cast as well.

Hope this serves to help rather than confuse.
