Energy gels and drinks

Featured Replies

Does anyone who runs,or trains a lot, have a recommendation for energy gels and recovery drink brands.

If so, can they be ordered in Thailand online?

Can get them sent from the U.K but with shipping it works out to pricey..

Thanks

Milk is your best friend. Don't waste your money.............thumbsup.gif

Milk don't help when running long distance and it is heavy to carry a couple liters :)

I had a friend bring some energy gels over from U.K, they are very good and can carry a couple in my bottle holder.

My preferred brand is Chocolate #9. I can get it here in Cambodia, not sure about Thailand. I have looked for energy gels/drinks in BKK before but found bugger all. I think your best bet may be a bike shop.

Good to know that Nuun is available...

I had some bought over from U.K and used it during the CM half marathon, very good stuff indeed.

Will check out that site above, hope they will deliver !!

We are talking gels here. There is no way that an average runner can do say a Marathon and do it on water alone. Well, it is possible, but it will be very painful.

Fine if you are sat in front of a computer my friend :)

I'll take all the help I can get to stop dehydrating after 2hrs running...

Ever tried 'Vitargo' ?? I haven't seen it over here, it's a high glyc carb. Very fast acting. Leaves the stomach very quick- so no bloat. I order mine from bulkpowders.com in the UK. I bring it with me...Not sure if they will deliver to Thailand...
