Red shirts to hold mass rally in Ayutthaya on Dec 10
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Red-shirt people will hold a mass rally in Ayutthaya on December 10 to defend the government and Parliament, Pheu Thai party-list MP and red-shirt leader Weng Tojirakarn said Thursday.

He said the red shirts would express their stand that they would fight till the end to defend the government and Parliament from being toppled by Suthep Thaugsuban, the secretary general of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC).

Weng said he expected that tens of thousands of red shirts would join the rally and the red-shirt leaders decided not to rally in Bangkok to avoid confrontation with the other side.

Weng said he saw that Suthep was following the footsteps of Sondhi Limthongkul, a former leader of the People's Alliance for Democracy. Weng warned Suthep against attempting to seize the Suvarnabhumi International Airport like what Sondhi did when he led protesters to demonstrate against the People Power government.

Weng said Suthep was running out moves for his political game and should not resort to the airport seizure as part of his plan to beat the government that he would announce Friday.

Weng added that Suthep could not cite the October 14 1973 to invoke Article 7 of the Constitution to seek a royally-granted prime minister. Weng said the situation was different because in 1973, the dictatorial government stated a self-coup before seeking a royally-granted prime minister.

Bizzare situation. Who would have thought that the red's would be holding one of their famous million man marches to ensure that Khun Abhisit and Khun Suthep get their amnesty in 153 days time?!! They do realize this is the outcome of keeping this Thaksin govt in power while His amnesty/grand homecoming bill is simmering away merrily on the slow burner?

As Mr.T said "I pity the fools"

Bizarre indeed. Makes you wonder if they really know how to use their brains.

Also, it's one of the reasons I reckon, Abhisit and Suthep DON'T want the bill, is because even though the bill clears many people of crimes, mud still sticks. At least if you are tried in court you can clear your name.

Disgusting when you really analyze it; people get into power do lots of corrupt things and think "I know let's bring in a law that clears us all and we won't need to feel guilty or ever face any consequences. Let's just tell the public it's 'reconciliation', that's a good word and the International Media will love it." It just gives the people in power to go on being corrupt and never face actions for their consequences. Absolutely revolting.

And you get the red shirts on here who believe it's all to do with, reconciliation. 555 you have to laugh really.

For those that are unaware, Ayutthaya is a redshirt stronghold and they will likely get 10,000 people just from there. Maybe more.

(I am operating from memory on this one, correct me if I am wrong)

Those red shirts stage rally for what?? The govt has won the battle. Protesters have been shot, deputy using law threatening individuals who help in the anti-govt protests. Anti-govt protesters has dispersed. Red shirts still come out for what!? Celebrate??

You forgot to mention threatening to arrest any doctors who give Suthep medical attention. there seems to be no low for the PTPredshirts every time you think they have hit it they surprise you with a new one.

Hear comes the violence, arsonists, killings, robberies, and assaults on women and children. Pity Ayutthaya.

Let'e see if the Thai police use tear gas and rubber bullets for this crowd???? Of course not, they are bought by Thaksin and his group!!!!

All is fair if you have BAHT!!!!!!!!!!
