Was looking at the septic tank getting installed at my house. Its full of water. It doesn't look level and I'm wondering how much of a problem it would be. Drain off goes to city.

Full of water is how it should be.

How off level is it? A slight off level is not going to affect it's function but you want to avoid it being so far adrift that effluent comes out of the cover.

I don't know how to describe it so I have attached a photo. I believe it is off enough that the outlet is either the same level as the inlet or slightly above it.

I'm concerned that if water is allowed to stand in the inlet pipe that solids will build up there rather than.

Come to think of it I'm also supposed to have a one meter skirt around the house. The tank looks less than that distance away.

That looks a mess :(

Get your spirit level out and verify it really is off, could just be an optical illusion.
