Japan declares Thailand free from bird flu

BANGKOK: -- Frozen Thai chicken will have a good chance of being exported to Japan now that Japan has declared Thailand free from bird flu.

Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Yikon Limlaengthong said Thursday that the declaration was made on December 9 after which the Thai Livestock Department would have to supply additional information about the health of Thai chicken to its Japanese counterpart.

Thailand has been free from bird flu for the past four years.

However, the minister said that there are three mandatory steps which are required to be met before frozen Thai chicken can be exported to the Japanese market.

These include the drafting of a health regulation regarding Thai chicken and the signing in recognition of the regulation between the two parties.

Also, the Thai Livestock Department will have to submit to its Japanese counterpart a list of potential slaughterhouses and frozen chicken processing plants which meet the health requirements for consideration.

Congrats! Off to the fried chicken place in front of Super Cheap.

Why does it seem like Muslims make the best fried chicken out of all the street food vendors?

This is very bad news!

I've been hoping the bird flu would wipe out all of my neighbors chickens that over run my garden!

What now?

Maybe now Thailand will reciprocate and declare Japan free of radiation from Fukushima.

Thank you so much for declaring Thailand bird flu free to the nation that flushed the whole world down the toilet by building nuclear plants along a beach in a Tsunami-prone area; and thanks for eventually asking for help many years later, when the whole world already was contaminated and when it already was too late; thanks for still sweeping the whole Fukushima clusterf#c$ and the scope of the whole mess under the carpet.

And matter of factly we have a lot more to thank Japan for: For the dolphin slaughters; for bringing certain whale and shark species closer to extinction; for bringing much needed delicacies on the menue such as tiger penis soup; for allowing Thailand to still brag about never been occupied after basically surrendering to Japan in WWII; for the rape of Nanking; and so many other great things Japan has done for all of us... almost forgot: Thanks also for bringing the world's worst scuba divers to Thailand's reefs - we couldn't have done without you! Thanks so much, Japan!!!!

In exchange, Thailand all set to export a few birds to Japan under visa-free travel scheme.
