Im sure the casino was shut down and the manager was sent to jail, to await multiple charges of illegal gambling, holding the lady against her will, and maybe more. OH, I forgot that maybe the police dont know where this casino is!

Oh NO!

Police know.

But what YOU must know is;

You MUST understand, and

You MUST accept Thai culture,

You MUST respect Thai culture, and

and as such ...

You must cray with police, because they work so hard and lost evidence...

Oh we love you, you understandable, accepting, respecting, loving, caring ... Thai land of bull****

Every village in Thailand has a casino it may not be some fancy building somewhere, but on some table or bed or on the ground down some soi, in a building or on a table gambling is going on. There is always someone with a table and bets going whether it is on the numbers and corresponding dice or something else.

I know a village where the police come twice a day if there is a game on it costs 200 Baht from the game runner.

Just once I would love to see a photo of the operators pointing back at the police, the owners of these 'casinos". But that would be playing outside the rules of this game/sham.

So, where are the photos of the people running the illegal gambling establishment, sitting with embarrassed looks on their faces with the cops pointing fingers at them?whistling.gifwhistling.gifwhistling.gif

Me thinks everyone made out well financially, except for the poor girl.

Of course. She's not Thai. And if she were, then she's not connected. And if she's not connected, she doesn't have any money. And if she doesn't have any money, then the criminal is not a foreigner. That about covers the food chain here.

The Thais do it to foreigners from developed countries as well, but on a much more restrained basis. How many foreigners work here for Thai owners without work permits compared to those who do? I am talking the slaves from Laos and Cambodia as well as the intelligent foreigners from the developed nations. What excuses are given if the Thais deign to even give one? Yeah! I thought so.

Without beating this dead horse further, the Thai business owners treat their Thai employees horribly, and the Thai employees give them no excuse to do otherwise. In fact, the Thai workers know their jobs suck, and they do as little possible to attain excellence and make every experience by the customer as miserable as possible, and they know they can get away with this behavior with impunity... because they are Thai and hence they are perfect: the HUB of perfection.

But when it comes to the foreign worker here, whether it be slave labor or intelligent and skilled foreigners (respectfully), excellence and high productivity (and all the shitty tasks included) seems to only be demanded of foreign workers and the penalties are extortion, blackmail, criminal prosecution, beatings, detention, rape, etc. Any credit is taken by the Thai, if any credit is there to take.

At least that is the way it generally seems.

What about the poor Laotian girl that was in the same position but wasn't there when they raided the place (in the news article). What is being done to locate her and protect her from this scum......

That was in bed with me last night.biggrin.png

Find out who owns it then.

LAZY post....

Bloody hell, a literary critic.

It wasn't meant to be taken seriously, most everyone here knows how these operations are set up.

they sure got her out of the country, away from the media, in a big hurry! How convenient...

Take note... this entire news report comes from a Cambodian media source.

AFAIK, zero news on this from any of the regular Thai media sources, such as they are.

Perhaps this was one case the BIB weren't too keen to publicize with the normal finger pointing etc etc.

The casinos in Bangkok are "known" to the police or some of the police. You can't keep something like that secret. I mean, if nobody knew about it, then there would be nobody going there.

so to sum a foreign woman was abducted, beaten and no charge will be pressed, no investigation will be made.

The culprit will never do any jail time, no they just expelled the victim out of Thailand.... this is how they serve justice when the victim is a foreigner.

i really want to puke...

Gee, previous to my many happy years in Thailand. Had thought that North America had 100% monopoly on cry babies and selfish, unappreciative, malcontents. Now if on ratio basis, the ex-pats in Thailand clearly take the prize. No contest.

Once you come back to your sense,s make a note to not take anymore whatever make loose connection to reaiity.

i will not be surprise to learn that she was also raped as wellbah.gif

its a good remember to all of us, that in Thailand you are just allowed to spend your money... not allowed to win at the casino.

But in the other hand, they are allowed to scam you, rob you, beat you, trash you, rape you, murder you without consequences... welcome to Thailandbah.gif

ps: since when the casino are allowed here?

You like the idea of possibility of rape, and just need to throw this in? Sick. Also, read the article and you will say it states that it was an illegal casino.

Why would you want to live in a country that you despise so much? Oh, I forgot. Your own country threw you out......and for good reason.

Your reading comprehension needs to improve. The bib where not involved in the rescue so no justice can be had.As the woman was probably working without a permit in a casino, the best option for her would be go back to Cambodia, not expelled(by who). Not saying it's right but working in these establishments your just asking for trouble.
