The officers chit chat to Thalang Police station staff.

PHUKET: -- Region 8 Police Deputy Commissioner, Pol Maj Gen Witsanu Muangpreasri and Region 8 Police Commander, Pol Maj Gen Chasit Thinthanee paid a visit to Thalang Police Station to extend a gentle reminder about policies at the station – with the island’s black taxis top of the list.

The pair instructed the police officers at the station to investigate any reports of black taxis, which created problems for tourists and “destroyed the [island’s] tourism image”.

“You must also keep things organised at the station, including regular maintenance – the paint on the buildings should not be left to fade and the grass shouldn’t be left to grow too tall,” both men told the officers during the visit.

The commander at the police station should also be a good role model for the other officers, staff were told.

During the New Year period, officers were also reminded they need to work together with authorities to reduce accidents during the ‘7 Days of Danger’ road accident period on the island.

Jiminy crickets, how old are these guys?......5? My 6 and 7 year old can clean up their room without being told.

Never mind the black taxis ticket the legal ones that don't have a functioning meter that gouge

everyone. Tuk tuk drivers as well. The so called legal taxis are the trouble makers in front of resorts.

Not these poor guys that provide competition to Phukets transportation Mafia. Enforce

all the taxi regulations not just the ones that will eliminate competition.

looks like everyone is enjoying the joke.

"....but Boss, the black taxis are owned by us, so how can we investigate ourselves? It's not the Thai way."

"The officers chit chat to Thalang Police station staff."

Aren't they cute?

What about black taxis driving at night with foreigners in them. A double priority stop!

Just an idea, why they not get a few foreigner tourist policeman to wear and act like a tourist and let see if they have better success ratio by helping to collect evidence in order to catch a few more criminals specially in high season...
