Small Portable Music Player

Featured Replies

I'm looking for guidance and recommendations on a portable music player with speakers that my wife can easily carry outdoors when she is working in the garden.

Not looking for a "wearable" device. Something like a compact boom-box but it needs to have re-chargeable batteries. Digital files only, no CD's. Thumb drive or SD card. Semi-rugged.

Radio would be a plus

Also where to buy -- we live in Khon Kaen. I guess I could order from Ebay and get shipping here but buying local is my preference.

Recommendations greatly appreciated.

Thanks, LB. I'l' give that a try. :)

For 299 baht from 7-11 .... this produces surprisingly good sound... rechargeable battery... holds a memory stick or card.... plus has radio too!

Thanls, Samuijimmy. I'll have a look at 7-11! thumbsup.gif

You'll see more expensive types (cubes) at places like Big C Mall stalls, for around 1000 baht, sound is no better!

Make sure to charge battery before using! wink.png Just download music to memory card from computer! (Depending on memory card size that might cost more than the player! ) ....facepalm.gif

I got a nice one at Big C. About 900 Baht. Sounds great. Radio, 2 big speakers, you can put in rechargeable batteries. Has a USB slot.

I didn't find this specific model in the local 7-11, but did get a very similar (Asaka APS-301). Added about 200 MP3's from the wife's collection and she is very pleased with it.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. thumbsup.gif
