Hope the missus catches PPS. I'm sick of PMS.

Surely political stress syndrome would be PSS and not PPS. Google the term and the top results are all Thai, so must be an elite delusional disorder (EDD) to stop the sheeple from bleating too loudly.

Well done Thauland then - yet another hub

Well at least the minister is trying to earn his keep.

You really can make up stuff like this... even in Hollyweird.

political stress syndrome?? Is that even a thing? You can't make that shit up, can you?

It's not a thing.

Yingluck's Public Health Minister can and did make this <deleted> up.

How does Political Stress Syndrome become 'PPS'? Should it not be PSS?

Please define the difference between 'politicians' and 'those with mental disorders'..... ?

Abhisit - vs - Chalerm

You can decide which is which

The government has made this up surely to try and stop people from following the real news in the hope they can pull the wool over people's eyes to what really happens over the next week. On Sunday the wheels will start falling off the wagon and it will all be downhill from there...

Can't start a new thread as it is politics related. But the woman on stage at Pathumwan right now ( on tv ) is wearing a t-shirt ripping the piss out of the white red shirts who made the Mercedes logo in candles instead of the so called 'peace sign' ( which is actually the logo for CND by the way ) Quite funny.

Yep - won't be long now: I can hear the fat lady warming up out the back.

"Thais advised not to consume too much of political news"

Please let that advice go out to some Thaivisa posters as well!!coffee1.gif

Love my wife dearly but have to admit, even as a Newshound all my working life, I am stating to get FED UP with it.

Yackety, yack, blah, blah,blah, blah!

Thais advised: No think too mutt

Too much?

It's good advise if you are pro government, you certainly wouldn't want to consider what they have been up to too closely. Just follow the dear leader.

Well, Thailand is the only country where the media pander to the contempt and hostility that the wealthy and elite have for the poor. Oh, wait a minute.... Fox News... USA....

Consuming too much written material and historical, current affairs books on Thailand? Not too likely.

Ignorance (of voters) is bliss (to Thaksin and his puppet parties)!

TRT, PPP, PTP, PPS, ZED...

Logical progression set.

Perhaps it's the Thai wording, but PPS doesn't equate to Political Stress Syndrome.

And according to the health ministry, there are 5 groups at risk of the syndrome, which include politicians, supporters, followers, political news consumers, and those with mental disorders. If there are five groups, they don't include those mentioned - they are those mentioned. Hardly surprising that politicians are on the list, as they represent cause and effect.
