Gmail Reverts To Lochost

Featured Replies

I try to load Gmail back to my outlook ( instructions on gmail web site). It works fine, but then, almost every time, the pop field reverts from "pop.gmail.com" to lochost by itself, and the login reverts from "[email protected]" to some linger variation.

How to permanently fix this. I have never seen such settings alter themselves, or is this a Bill Gates game to keep google at bay ?

I have been using outlook for several years with no problem. You have POP3 as POP.GMAIL.COM and SMTP as SMTP.GMAIL.COM and your name.GMAIL.COM and password entered?

Has it worked in the past? Do you have anything, like anti virus, that might change email settings? That local host might be a virus exam step (guess) but I don't have any problem using AVG and it is set to check email.
