the office MIGHT be closed. after going there i noticed the front gate was closed, i had no idea there was a back gate which was open. i went back to our hotel room and told her that. but before telling her, i had called the khurusapa office number, the lady on seat told me they where actually working but they opened only the back gate.but my girlfriend could not understand why i did not listen to her, i noticed most thais will quickly give u an answer to what they know nothing about

As for your OP ... hummm ... sweeping generalisation on behavioral pattens of most Thais based on a singular personal experience ...

Actually, most times my Thai gf is correct ... but I put that down to ... not her Thainesss ... but her inane ability to organise my beer cans in the fridge ... she's a wizz ...

Never ask a Thai for directions, they want to be helpful, they have no idea where you want to go, but happy to help pointing out a number of suggestions,

But didn't you experience going to a shop and asking where to find XYZ and got the reply "mai mee" but you remember to have seen it in the shop?

Not too many guys here have a foreign girl friend. Please don't try to blame her, as your post clearly says that she'd mentioned that the office might be closed. So you obviously didn't call them to find out and went the Thai way. Just to go there to see the gate's closed.

Even a post here would have helped you to find out if they were open or not. Blame the guy in the mirror, please.-

they where actually working, i called the office they told me they where working but did not tell me they had two gates, a small gate which was open and behind the building and the big gate which was closed and the main entrance to the building..

i said MOST Thais..they give you very wrong directions most times..they just don't wanna say they don't know..most will quickly give u an answer when they dont actually know what the question is
