I bought 2 of those stands for the patio that you can put tim lanterns in and light up at night. I went to a shop with one of the containers so he could see it (wick and all) and he sold me some but when I filled the lanters it smoked black to no end and big time too.

Does anyone know eher I can buy something that doesn't smoke black like this and what it is called (Thai or English) please.

True Value has the stuff, but it is EXPENSIVE! 800-900B for a bottle. We went with the local stuff last time and the smoke was horrible.

Holy Moly 8-900 baht !!!! How big is the bottle and did it burn clean?

It's probably about a liter. It's really good, but just too expensive. And they don't have it often. Back in the US, this stuff is easy to find and cheap. But not here. Only that smokey kerosene stuff. Ugh!
