Any old vehicle looks better with a cut n polish! Go for it!!

But there is an old vehicle park along our pathway. It is very old.

When I asked my wife that we try to start to have a car with the one like that old car. She said, never mind owning a car if as old as that.

I know some one who had Threads put in his face he looks 15 yrs younger and if it makes you feel better go for it I think for his whole face including his chin was about 156,000.bht

Sorry- what are 'threads' please?

"The thread lift or feather lift is a less invasive surgical option, which is often used for people who seek minor improvements to treat sagging or laxity in the eye, forehead, and nasolabial fold areas. The lift can be performed under local anesthesia, where the surgeon uses a barb suture technique. The threads that hold the skin into place will not be reabsorbed or be dissolved and remains in place. The thread plus the barbs are the only things keeping the lift in effect, as no skin is cut away. Specific complications of the thread lift include puckering skin, the visibility of the threads and the appearance of lumps. Treatment for these effects range from oral medications to surgical intervention. A study by Abraham RF suggest that the long term effects of this procedure are less esthetically pleasing than other surgical options" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhytidectomy#Thread_Lift

You could go to Yanhee Hospital, it's considerably cheaper.

Upper Blepharoplasty 18,000 THB

Lower Blepharoplasty 18,000 THB

http://www.yanhee.net/treatments-procedures/Price%20List

Yes Yanhee is tops. I have had eyes done, full facelift and some lipo done too. Dr Pitch was fantastic and staff incredible. I also get my dental done there. Dr Siriwan great dental surgeon and she is extremely good looking too. I would recommend Yanhee to anyone.

I had this Blepharoplasty 18 months ago on recommendation from Eye specialist as my eyelids were drooping making vision difficult.

I did a lot of research and was impressed with PAI (Preecha Aesthetic Institute) in Soi Tong Lor. meeting all my requirements.

Doctor who saw me (name escapes me) was most professional of all I went to. He is Thai and trained in USA.

He agreed upper lids required doing and suggested removing fat bags from lower.

Procedure done under local anesthetic with no discomfort.

Recovery time about 1 week before I was out and about now almost forgotten about it.

Total cost was TB 30,000

I would recommend PAI to anybody as being 100% professional and I am very happy with the result.

Good luck

Dr. Amorn poomee at Bumrungrad is tops, but expensive.

the procedure for removal of bags under the eyes is called blepharoplasty

there have been threads on this before, try a search of this forum

Bumrumgrad although looks like a 5 star hotel is very pricey by local standards.

Amorn is a very nice person as well as his wife, a nurse. He did a plastic residency in canada and gen surgery in usa as i recall, which is likely the reason for the higher prices.

Yanhee hosp also has a good reputation especially for cosmetic surgery and is very popular for thai high socirty people.

Yanhee is perhaps the most well known hosp in the world for srs (sex reassignment surgery) i joke with friends that my biggest fear in going there say for a tonsillectomy is departing the hosp as a woman.

Lower lid is not complex surgery nor with major risk but google it for all potential risks.

One thing that must be realized when referring to claims of training in usa, canada or other g7 country; many doctors attend a seminar or meeting or weekend/week long courses then claim they are usa trained, etc etc. in addition the recognized way to become a plastic surgeon (US) is by doing a green book listed residency at a bona-fide teaching hospital and not hanging out at a freestanding plastic surgery practice. the result is board eligibility/certification american board of plastic surgery.

i have zero commercial/marketing interest nor bait and hook.

Would any of you be getting plastic surgery done in your own country?? Now in Thailand you think you're back in "the game", sorry but your only appeal is your bank account. Save that useless surgery money to pay your "girlfriends" who could pass as your daughter or granddaughter, a higher allowance/salary, god knows they earn it.

It's a sad world when guys have to get plastic surgerysad.png

Why? Is it wrong for a man to take pride in his apperance? It's sad at how many narrow minded people are on this forum...

Yup, there are a lot of narrow minded people on this forum. There are also a lot of angry people here. Every time there is a new post, there are a group of people who jump on and spew hatred at the poster, no matter what the subject. It's quite sad really. I think there are a lot of older ex-pats on here who are very miserable and have nothing to do all day.

I have had friends have lower and upper eyelids done at Yanhee and also one friend had a full face lift(Head cut open and skin pulled upwards) The after care has been fantastic in all cases-whether staying in for 3 nights(the facelift) or going home an hour or so after.Everyone has been pleased with their outcome. The price for upper and lower lids is still 18000THB (9000THB for Thais) and the face lift was USD$6500

I have a friend coming in for Boob reduction, tummy tuck and underarm excess skin removal. She has chosen to have it all done at Yanhee and she can get all the procedures done under the same anaesthetic.

Dental work is also recommended there.

Generally for the surgery-if you want it done then and there it is possible.Or a one day wait at the latest.

The op is talking about a procedure that costs 18k <deleted>.

Some guys are just so unattractive, ungroomed and unhealthful...

It's nothing I obsess over, someday I will have a facelift. My wife is 15 yrs younger and I want to look good for her and with her.

Sure, I could say what the hell, sit on a barstool all day, get fat, loose a tooth or two, stop washing daily. But then I would be like an aquaintence I know - found out yesterday he is dead. Unhealthy lifestyle.

Personally, I have no kids. My wife gets whatever money is left, when I sm done with it. I am not a lottery. As for relatives, no relative is giving me any of their millions so I don't see a need to pass on my scrapings to kids that never contact me.

There is though thankfully, COPPER. Supplements are bullshit. Good health comes from ingestion of healthy food.

To the OP.

When i did my lower eyelids i did not feel pain at all. I smelled burned skin and i asked whats going on, and dr Pramote answere: we have started the operation. I had black eyes for about 5-6 days and the stitches started to fall off after 8-9 days if i remember correct. It is impossible to see i done the lids if i not tell anyone. No fear, just use sunglasses inside also. Avoid the sun and not touch the eyelids for a few weeks. Everything will be informed to you in hospital and you will get painkillers and pills to prevent infection. After i guess a week or so you must go back to the doctor for a check, and thats it. Good luck.

My advice would be to stand in front of a full length mirror...naked, and take a good look at yourself.

Ask yourself the following question: "is some extra skin under my eyes really where I need to be focusing my energies to further my maximum health and longevity?"

If the answer is 'yes'...then carry on.

Sheryl, going slightly off-topic, (but hopefully relevant for those who are thinking about this type of cosmetic surgery(, I am 54 years old and have small fat bags under my eyes, plus loose skin. I went for a consultation at Yanhee and was told that surgery to remove the fat bags and tighten the skin was not possible, because the skin under my eyes was too thin.

Can you explain why thin skin might mean siomeone cannot have this simple operation? If I pull the loose, wrinkly skin at the corner of each eye slightly, the skin under my eyes tightens and the overall effect is certainly more youthful. I'm frustrated that apparently my baggy eyelids are untreatable.

I don't know. Why don't you get a second opinion from another plastic surgeon? Consultations are usually free. Try Dr. Amorn at Bumrungrad and see what he says.

I'm a 61 year old male. I've just had, one week ago, my upper eyelids lifted due to the skin overlapping my eyelashes. I had it done because it was restricting my field of vision. The skin on my eyelids is very thin but it was never mentioned. Anyways, the whole thing took one hour to do and pain free. Stitches out on 5th day. Cost including medication was 8,000 Baht and I'm very happy with the results. Procedure carried out at the Memorial Hospital Korat.
