iPhone 5c getting hot!

Featured Replies

Is it nesarsary to close the iPhone for a while when it's getting very hot looking videos on 3G can it really burn up?

It will shut down by itself when it gets too hot.

Happened to me a few times on an iPhone 4 when testing my ZeroShake app. The app uses most sensors and nearly all GPU and CPU all at the same time. iPhone 4 couldn't handle it and after about 10 minutes it got very hot and message appeared stating the device was too hot and was shutting down. Worked fine again after a little cool down period. I now block my app on iPhone 4 and earlier models to avoid any issues.

I am pretty sure the temp safety is also in the newer devices, although I never seen it being activated on these.
