I like the beautiful double wood doors with attractive carving that so many homes have. But I haven't seen any installed with screen doors. I found a shop with sliding double doors hung with sliding screens that are pretty attractive. But where can I find hinged screen doors? Although I guess they are easy enough to have made.

I'm in a village well outside CR in the direction of Chiang Khong. But I can travel anywhere reasonably in the CR area.

I'm thinking I will have to have them made so that they will match with the doors. I'm a big fan of a well-screened house!

If it's not too far you might try the shops and small factories in SungMen,

15 km south of Phrae. All along highway 101 there are many, many places

who sell new and old furniture, doors, windows etc.

I'm sure you will find what you're looking for. And much more. Good luck.

I suggest, have them made with metal screen, not synthetic. rodents can scratch through synthetic screen.

An idea: you could buy a heavy wood door, new or used, and cut out the middle and have a framed screen put in. I once made a screen door by putting a pair of 1 x 8 rectangular frames together. With a hand-held jig saw, I cut curves and shapes on the inside of the two frames. The frames were flush when I did the cutting, so they're identical. Then I tacked a screen on the inside, and secured the two frames with screws. You can lap the corners alternatively (one frame with wide top and bottom, the other with narrow top and bottom), so when you screw them together, they'll hold the shape - without needing to secure corners with specialized woodworking tools/skills.
