How to Move Household Stuff to Khon Kaen

Recommended Posts

I will be moving from Phuket to Khon Kaen.

What is the best way to move household stuff-tv, air conditioner, king size mattress and boxes of personal stuff etc.

I know I can ship the motorbike by post.

Are there truck rentals, moving companies or a private individual that does this?

Need to have it done cheaply.

Thank you for any help or advice.

cheapest way would be to find a pick up that will do removal. Lots of these guys hang about. Just ask a local where to find. Sounds like a pick up would be big enough for your needs, likely get the bike in also.

Most convenient indeed! However,if you have to send the motorbike by Post, you will have to take of the mirrors, make sure that the fueltank is about empty.

Show the book from the motorbike with a copy. Provide ID-card or passport of the owner. Inform yourself about cost at the post office; I've paid 2200.-Thb for transport of about 450 KM.

Best option still is to find a pick up as mentioned above.

Thai Post will also move furniture, boxes etc.

Several friends have used them for such moves across half of Thailand, seems they do a pretty good job and reasonable cost.

There is a truck that does nothing but Phuket-KhonKaen-Phuket several times a week..very good and reliable and good prices.

Not sure of contact number but his base is inside JJ market..at the rear...{JJ is near and opposite Jungceylon]

Ask around in there..someone will know..

There is a company called paalai tour. They do runs every 3, 13 23 of the month up to nong kai. It is a bus company but everytime they go they also bring a truck along were you can transport motorbike refrigerators etc. Much cheaper than the post office. They are also located behind jung ceylon somewhere.

Yeh, That must be the same one..I thought several times a week, but may well be the dates you mention..

Maybe depends on the comings and goings of the Isaan BG's to a degree.
