Transfer Money To Bangkok Bank

Featured Replies

A friend would like to transfer a small amount of money to my Bangkok Bank account in Phuket. The funds would come from an account in Phuket.

I assume that a Routing number for Bangkok Bank and my account number are needed.

Is there only one routing number for Bangkok bank? And, does anybody know their routing number?

Anything else needed?

Thanks

if from a thai bank, only the account number and name is needed

Yes, plus the bank name where funds being sent.

When you wrote "plus the bank name,"did you mean Bangkok Bank or the name/location of the Bangkok Bank branch?

Thanks

Bankname, account number and clients name. This really is not rocket science.

I meant the actual bank company name, as in Kasikorn, Siam Commercial, whatever. Location of bank is not important.

thanks all. I got it.

He can do a transfer at an ATM. He uses his bank card, pushes the button for a transfer to a bank other than his own, chooses Bangkok Bank, enters the account number and amount of money. Before confirming the transaction the ATM will show the name of the account holder (he doesn't need to enter it) and the amount. If it's all OK, he pushes OK and voila the money is in your account.

That's what I was thinking, or is your friend who has to do the transfer outside Thailand now?

If outside Thailand, they will need the bank's "swift code."

Also, the fees for this bank transfer should be checked out against the fees to do the transfer via Western Union.
