Just bought a seat net for my PCX at a shop on Chang Moi Rd., they have a orange front on left hand side of the road about 100 meters before Honda Dealer. Walked in ask for sear net for PCX the lady went to the shelf and came back with it 250 baht and done. We will see how it works out on my next long trip.

Put one on my PCX a while ago.

The relief provided by the cooling breeze evaporating the sweat between the cheeks has to be felt to be appreciated.

PS - a seat net is a slip-on, velcro-secured cover which fits over the stock scooter seat to provide air space between the hot vinyl seat cover and your butt.

I tried one but found it to be very irritating to the butt,,,got rid of it..

Is good as protection from hot seat initially, no doubt about that...

I still cannot imagine how it would work.

Yes, you need one.

Made of springy coil-like nylon interlocking filaments providing ~1cm of space for air to circulate.

Maybe not nylon, but some plastic.

andreandre: More comfortable if wearing trousers of some sort. 5 5

Not only for scooters.

Shown fit to CBR, cut & attached with staples:

Air is an insulator. The seat net provides an air space between the hot vinyl seat and the hot butt of whoever is sitting on that seat.

When moving, air can flow between the bike seat and your seat, providing cooling.

Huh? no one mentioned that to me...giggle.gif

Seriously tho..i can't see the cooling effect when riding as a serious point...but definately is better than initially sitting directly on the scalding hot vinyl seat when your bike has been parked in the sun for a while

More like keeping that area dry and irritation free.

i met a guy once with a wooden seat ball seat cover on his cbr250 for the same reason

(he cut it from the wooden ball mats car taxi drivers use and this works on the same principal )

its good for blood flow as well as staying cooler and dryer

do they sell these nets in bangkok ?
