Samsung Galaxy III---Kies---Windows 8.1

Had no problem with Win 7 and Kies connection to my Galaxy

Anybody have any information about Kies and Win 8.1 please?

I've tried allsorts and am now banging my head against the wallbeatdeadhorse.gif

What do you use the Kies for? I don't see any great value in this piece of software and many others say it's shit. It works for me on my Win 7 computer but I only use it for backing up contacts, SMS and call logs. If it stops working - not a big deal, there are plenty of apps that can back up your data.

google already backs up your contacts by default ,when you get a new phone it automatically downloads your contacts and apps etc

its all tied in to your gmail address

use dropbox or google+ for pictures ,it will back up automatically as you take them so if you lose your phone you can download them again
