PATTAYA: -- On Friday Afternoon Pattaya Police made their way to Larn Island, off the coast of Pattaya, to investigate reports of a drunken Thai Man who was wielding a loaded M16 Assault Rifle.

Khun Sanae aged 56 was located and arrested and the weapon was seized. Both were taken to Pattaya Police Station where it was determined that the suspect did hold a gun license but not a license for the Assault Rifle.

Khun Sanae claimed he had no intention of using the weapon and had possessed weapons for over 20 years and had never shot anyone or anything.

What beautiful, peaceful Buddhist (going by Thai PR) doesn't have an M-16?

this is the "new" Wild West

Easy:

Charge him for:

Carrying a gun in public

Not having a license (having a license for another firearm is not relevant)

Public drinking

Threatening public safety

Since he never shot anyone or anything he won't be needing the gun.

Since he never shot anyone or anything he won't be needing the gun.

Might be necessary to intimidate the Russian tourist invaders out from his property. I assume he's a local.

In using Thai Visa I agree:

3) Not to post in a manner that is vulgar, obscene or profane.

4) Not to flame fellow members.Flaming will not be tolerated. 'Flaming' is defined as posting or responding to a message in a way clearly intended to incite useless arguments, to launch personal attacks, to insult, or to be hateful towards other members. This includes useless criticism, name-calling, swearing and any other comments meant to incite anger.
