Is Lumpini Park open for jogging?

Featured Replies

I fear that the PDRC will leave only for the park to be immediately re-occupied by the red shirts.

Q&A @kiwibangkok: Can you confirm that Lumpini Park has been returned to the people of #Bangkok? => They will move out Sunday/Monday

7:29 PM - 10 May 2014

Seems I have heard this before like the Leader saying " the final big push "

I walked through park yesterday and really have no words for what it has transformed into and again it reminded me how I live in city where laws only apply for some .

Guess it time for protestors to find new and clean place ... Ohh mypost-202056-13998808384268_thumb.jpgpost-202056-13998808697188_thumb.jpg

Well here is a nice place they could camp that looks spotless ?post-202056-13998809232649_thumb.jpg

I went jogging in the park today.

It's ok meaning the jogging /cycling path is clear but a lot of rubbish around everywhere and it"ll take a while to clean up and have things growing again.

@RichardBarrow: The BMA now say that the public won’t be allowed into Lumpini Park until Monday 19 May at the earliest #Bangkok http://t.co/t8crF0t4m5

Guess they do not want anyone to see damage protestors caused ?

Is park open today ? It's the 19th ?

Lumpini Park is not very nice for jogging right now - comments below sum it up. Maybe try Benjakiti, near Rama IV and Ratchadapisek, Queen Sirikit Metro. Very nice lake and paths. BUT, watch out for speeding bicycles.

yes, separate walking and cycking paths as well, though walkers seem to prefer the bike path.

lumpini WAS nicer. not so much now, though it should be reopening today.

Things getting back to normal at park but no big effort to clean really . Trash all over much better than it was though . Guess it's big job but they need big crew to really get all the trash out of grass . Nice to see all the protestors gone it had turned into something almost unbelievable . post-202056-14007481021513_thumb.jpg

Yes it's open to good runners but you have to have Red shirt and shorts and good sprinting shoes

Protest camp moved a week ago and there was an announcement that it was open again on 19th .... but needs a lot of work to get it back in shape. Lake is full of 'kee' and plants are dead.
