Aluminum bike frame welding

Featured Replies

Good day

Anyone know of a shop that can spot weld an aluminum bike frame, in bkk or pattaya?

Found one shop on pattaya sukhumvit, near the caltex opposite around soi 89, near macro, but guy is only in mon-fir and I am not in pattaya during the week.

Thanks in advance.

Give Bubi at Thai Hot Rod Shop a call. he is a master with alloy.

Here is an update on my aluminum weld search. He did a great job, right on the spot and at a very good price.

I found a Bkk based shop:

Khun Tanadet

JP Metal

Sukhumvit Soi 77 (On-Nut)

Soi 17, #43

02 311 4356

086 991 7603

Here are photos of the shop. If you are traveling on Soi 77 from Sukhumvit, Soi 17 will be on your left side (there is a traffic light there, forget if it is first or second one). Turn left onto 17 and it will be on your left about 200M down, just as the road starts to curve right you will see his shop on your left.

Photos attached to help.

Actually neglect that post above, JP shop still open.

Take bike in try to weld the seat post and lock the seat in place - post has split open twice now...

It is not alloy, it is about aluminium. Aluminium should be preheated to about 400 Celsius, which requires a good oven and a skilled welder. Check out whether this is given.
