March 25, 201411 yr Thai monks should keep to doing monk-like things and keep their nose out of politics. Amazing all the Thaivisa experts having an orgasm over this. Didn't see much written by these same exerts over the taxi driver beaten into a coma by PDRC or the under cover police beaten by PDRC guards and then interrogated by that rat- bag monk who set up the stage at Chaeng Wattana. Or the young guy who was grabbed by the throat by Suthep's thugs just because he wanted to lodge his vote ! He was not deliberately abusing anyone as this monk was.
March 25, 201411 yr Vile bunch of cowards, attacking as usual in group on one monk for <deleted> !
March 25, 201411 yr well I just watched this video on the news and all I can say is that it shows the world just how small the appendiges on redshirts and their supporters really are. Anyone that can condone/appologize for this is truly pathetic. The amount of reds that had to get in there and punch/kick this monk was humiliating for anyone that considers themselves a human being, these reds are lower than animals and resemble cave men more than so called people. Is it any wonder people claim that they are stupid when they act like this and the ptp simply stand by and cheer them on. As for those trying to compare it to the protest guards, this is on video, so far there has not been any reliable evidence shown to support any claims against the guards, only what is claimed, strange that we see all the evidence of the reds on video etc and nothing is done but when they have only heresay on the protesters, arrest warrants are issued. Even when the police are right in the thick of the action they arrest no one, anyone care to explain why they refuse to do their jobs as the law stipulates wqhen reds are involved........... Money.
March 25, 201411 yr Anyone how core message can not stand up to opposing views and must stifle them with violence has a defective message, that they are trying violently to deliver, or make be the ONLY message heard. This has been the Red Shirts modus operandi, since before they were called Red Shirts, and were still un-coagulated roving bands of northern dissenters. Before Thaksin gave them a central leadership to direct their malevolence. Despite extensive provocation from the very first time Benito stepped on the stage, the Redshirts have been very patient and quiet throughout this time. All the thuggery has come from Sutheps paid thugs. This time they were pushed too far by someone using his monkhood and obvious support for Suthep to abuse them thinking that he could get away with it. Well i hope he has just learned his lesson and retires to the temple and in future keeps out of it. The upset and abused crowd saw him for what he was, just another Suthep supporting man.
March 25, 201411 yr ...and there we were...... TWO against TWENTY TWO. My... how we beat those two up. Just a normal Thai fight Go to Phuket and pick any Tuk Tuk driver.
March 25, 201411 yr Popular Post redshirt scum....anyone going to defend that... YES! Serve him right , if he wants to take sides he needs to use his brains a little more. Not just think that because he is a monk, he can say and do what he likes.........................."Fly with the crows, you will get shot with the crows" ! a well known quote of ex Queensland Premier, the late great Joh Blelke Pedersen. Just as I predicted on page 1: the low lifes will come out and say a monk deserves to get thrashed. He was there in a non violent way, until some thugs came along and hit him like total cowards. Sounds like you're taking sides yourself. Does that mean that you're deserving of it as well, since he 'took sides and deserved it'?
March 25, 201411 yr Thanks to the OP for posting this. We foreigners in Thailand need to be alert to how the ongoing political unrest will affect us personally. I am so glad that I never bought real property here, I can depart at relatively short notice.
March 25, 201411 yr redshirt scum....anyone going to defend that... I do not approve of this behavior but I want to say following: The video very conveniently starts exactly when the beating starts. No video of what happened before the beating starts. Also I think a holier than thou attitude about Thai monks is a bit misplaced. I do hate the rat-pack beating mentality i see on this video. But that goes for both sides.
March 25, 201411 yr I don't care either way and don't take sides but what I cannot understand is how a monk gets involved in politics here......(this of course not the only case).......and if they did, shouldn't they be calling for peaceful resolution and not taking sides???? Something wrong here.
March 25, 201411 yr Finally, since the red-shirt mob was still waiting to beat the monk again, it was the unarmed Royal Thai Army who had to intervene to escort the monk to a safe place, in front of the PASSIVE COPS that did nothing to protect the monk. As you can see on the video, the Police was only interested in registering the bag of the monk (and found nothing interesting). ps: at the video you can also hear the monk that politely says to the red-shirts that it is not good to create problems for the community. Then the Red Shirts start to beat him shouting that he is a PDRC. I cannot imagine what they would do to a person that is not a monk and is actually an anti-government protester.
March 25, 201411 yr Are the copying the pogroms yet? I'm waiting for book burning and graffiti saying: "don't buy from non red shirts" at the shop windows. Pretty brave to beat up a single monk with the help of 50 other crazy cowards. Your famous Thai moral standards are (deleted) me off!
March 25, 201411 yr If he was a Monk...he should have had his ass in a temple somewhere...instead of siding with ANY Policital Party.....
March 25, 201411 yr And those people will go to Temples and ask for forgiveness etc ..... crazy Thailand could be the next TAT campaign .
March 25, 201411 yr If he was a Monk...he should have had his ass in a temple somewhere...instead of siding with ANY Policital Party..... 20 against 1 ........ wow that show what kind of courage they have
March 25, 201411 yr i'd rather see this happening to 'monks' in Panthip Plaza and the like, or the ones gambling or scoffing well after noon or the ones picking up women, Panthip Plaza again. Some of them deserve a good telling off.
March 25, 201411 yr If he was a Monk...he should have had his ass in a temple somewhere...instead of siding with ANY Policital Party..... What you are saying, justifying violence and blaming the monk, is sick.
March 25, 201411 yr What a pity it wasn't a Shoalin monk - fully trained to deal with red <deleted>.
March 25, 201411 yr Thai mob mentality, Thai politics at their finest. Sent from my very clever thingy that uses battery far too quickly
March 25, 201411 yr Popular Post If he was a Monk...he should have had his ass in a temple somewhere...instead of siding with ANY Policital Party..... He was coming back from a funeral, when his taxi got caught up in this group of thugs antics. He saw the red guard vandalising property. He called them on it. They reacted like the cowards they are. Where are the politics?
March 25, 201411 yr Maybe TAT can use that photo to promote "mugging holidays" for overseas quality tourists.
March 25, 201411 yr Popular Post Budhist monks should stay out of politics and remain neutral, as they represent a spiritual holiness for the country, but in Thailand and Burna, Budhist monks always get involved in politics, which resulted in them being beaten and even executed; especially in time of crisis. Religious figures must remain neutral, in order to be respected by all sides. This is a wisdom that most religious figures do not comprehend or understand. Have you a reading problem. No where does it say the Monk was involved in a political dispute. He was trying to stop unlawful destruction of other peoples property. What kind of a weird country or religion do you come from that calls that political? No wonder you left that country. Now all you need to do is study Buddhism and you will know some thing about reality.
March 25, 201411 yr What disgusted me was the farang in the orange shirt putting the boots into the monk... Arrest and deport after a stretch in the bkk Hilton would not go astray !!! I think you need to do a replay. The dude in the orange shirt is Thai.... If you play the film clip frame by frame you will see he is white and FARANG....and a gutless coward. Kick and run !!!

Still a gutless coward, though.
March 25, 201411 yr Popular Post The Monk represents Buddha The Red shirts represent Thaskin So now we see Thaskin is more important than Buddha and there are many here on TVF who say their is no need for reform All folowers of Budhism should stand on their feet and show how they feel about this red shit action and If Yingluck does not take action agains these thugs Peole of Thailand take notice The PTP part is above Budha My feeling
