Let's see if the Thai police flip these guys and get at the Thai Mr. Bigs. The Thai police "have been watching for some time" so presumably they know there is a network of money men and bankers above these guys. Let's see if the Thais are serious or just happy to bust a few petty transit point links.

As far as I can recall, they have NEVER traced back to the Mr Bigs.

I would urge the gentleman in the "more cushion for the pushin!" Tshirt to replace it before he meets his new cellmates.

I would have thought with that amount the street value of the 'smack' would have been considerably higher.

A TIP-OFF from Australian Federal Police to their Thai counterparts has led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of 150 kilograms of heroin before it could be packed in seafood and shipped to Australia......The seized heroin, which Thai authorities put at 147 kilograms while the AFP in a statement said weighed 168 kilograms, had a potential street value of up to $95 million in Australia. http://www.news.com.au/world/breaking-news/thai-police-seize-heroin-bound-for-aust/story-e6frfkui-1226865907543

It's time to legalize all these drugs, if we can't even remove drugs from our prisons then we must be high ourselves to think that we could ever even try to remove it from society as a whole. We need to end these gangs that not only smuggle drugs but also use their established drug smuggling routes to traffic humans and weapons as well. You can get high on almost anything, there are so many chemicals or 'bath salts' out there it is literally impossible to control the drug trade. We should instead spend money on educating our populace on how drugs will harm your body. If you cut the demand the supply will die as well.

Iam always wary of statements made these people. When large sums of money are involved.

Yeah, who knows, maybe there was originally 200 kgs.

Agree. Legalise but regulate and tax. Puts an end to huge profits for criminals and brings the problems associated with drug use to the surface.

Educate and instill a healthy attitude.
