Cheapest Charlie

I was once in a Tesco store in the UK and wanted to buy some grapes which came portioned ready in open bags. You select the bag you want and it is weighed at the check-out.

In front of me was a young lady carefully selecting the best grapes from those on show, one by one, and putting them into a separate bag she had got from one of those hanging cartons nearby.

Best of the bunch no doubt and no stalks to be weighed.

I remember hoping that the sale would be refused at checkout.
