uptheos Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Ok, what about Young Player of the Year? Suarez POY Hazard YPOY
StevieH Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 young player of the year still goes up to almost 24 years old, which seems a bit much to me. so hazard will probably get it. but sterling could be in with a long shout. POTY suarez by a country mile.

POTY suarez by a country mile. As Ups mentioned a while back this age "limit" for the young player of the year seems silly. How did that get started ? Seems like 21 would be a reasonable cut off. That would put Sterling where he ought to be. 1

JacknDanny Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Although Suarez has been superb. For entertainment value alone, plus the help he has given both City and Liverpool, my vote goes to Fellaini 2
StevieH Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 signing of the season would be an interesting one. negredo, fernandinho, matic - my personal favourite might be dejan lovren at southampton. wilfried bony has had a good season too. waste of money of the season you'd probably find it hard to slip a rizla between fellaini and lamela. 2

Lamela would be better judged when he gets a chance to get fit from the back injury and all the other injuries he's had this season. Soldado however has been fit and played enough games and is well worthy of the title. Player of the season is obvious. Young player of the season is a joke because the age cut off is about three years too high. So, to me its an irrelevant award. Brad Friedal gets my vote.
rixalex Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Game of the season anyone? In years gone by there has often been one game that was an absolute corker (the 96 Liverpool Newcastle game always sticks in my mind), and not because your own team won or played well, but because of competitive end to end action, with amazing goals. I haven't seen any this season that stand out for me, but then again, i've in the main sadly only been watching United, so i'm obviously not the best placed person to judge! 1

rijit Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Probably the only player to get anywhere near suarez , and thats a distant 2nd is tourre ? with lallana in 3 rd place ? and adeboy got to be worth an mention, although relatively short, the impact he's had on our season has been impressive as for young player of the year !! 23 aint young in terms of prem footballers, its approaching middle aged Sterling probably nailed on but coutinhio at liverpool and all though utds season has been disappointing 4 them Jones has stepped up and maybe worth a shout

Easily the most exciting talent to emerge from this season but hasn't contributed enough, for one reason or another, to put him in serious contention I think.
BangrakBob Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 YPOY - Barkley and Deulofeu would have been in with a shout with a few more starts....enjoyed watching both of them play
Popular Post uptheos Posted April 11, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 11, 2014 It doesn't seem feasible for young player of the year, that Daniel Sturridge is second favourite, behind odds on Eden Hazard. If Suarez was out of it they'd probably be contesting player of the year along with Yaya. 3

Barkley,, yeah reasonable shout, 2 good feet and strong but atm doesn't score enuf or impose himself enuf IMO really 2 be a contender. Jones has been solid in a difficult season for utds defense and played well when asked 2 go into midfield he's has had a all round good season 1
smokie36 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I think we have the keeper of the season....although he'll probably be off in the summer.
SantiSuk Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 And we definitely have the train crash moment of the season - that <deleted> Polish clown selfie 2
rijit Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 Ramsey no 2, had he not been injured. could be argued the same 4 wallcott and wilkshire ,,,, both started looking bang on,,,,,, then injury ... story of your season santi.
CFC Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Suarez doesn't deserve Player of the Year after yesterday performance. Biggest Game of the season and the 25th Anniversary and he cant behave himself. Diving all of the pitch, complaining all the time to the ref, acting like a little girl. Should have got sent off for one of the dives. Didn't score a goal and hasn't against the top teams this year. Shame because he's a great player on his day but really lets himself down on a bad day.

Well you are right in as much as he should have been sent off. Theres no disputing that. However, his seasons performances warrants player of the season by a distance imho. Are you really saying that he should not receive the award because he dived yesterday? 3

Quite.I think better the "injustice" of a cheating bar steward getting the award than the "injustice" of the best player in the league not getting it. At least this season he hasn't tried to eat anybody. That's progress eh. Sent from my i-mobile IQ XA using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
