Where To Buy Software In Pattaya

Featured Replies

Any ideas where to buy software in Pattaya of the less than original type that can be found in such places like Pantip in BKK? :o

Try the Tuktom IT Center on south Pattaya road between 2nd and 3rd road. My geeky friends tell me it is better to buy in Bangkok (don't know how true that is)

Yes, the 4th floor (?) of TukCom has numerous software shops, some selling legit copies, some selling less than legit copies, some selling both.

Thanks for the info I will give that a try first otherwise just wait until my next venture to BKK.

Legit? hmmm everything looked errr well....never mind!! :o

I reckon its very difficult to beat Pantip and Fortune City in BKK.

If you know excatly what you want, you could try chatting to the guy in DCO, Pattaya Klang, just before Carrefour. His people go to BKK several times a week and could probably get whatever you need. and I doubt he'd charge much (if anything) for the service, either - he's a very good guy. :o

He'll also get you the real stuff if you need it - some people prefer the McCoy windows these days as you can't get the free updates on the cheaper stuff any more, and his real stuff is definitely cheaper than I've seen anywhere in Thailand.

I've bought both kinds up there. Usually PC games (I've got too much d@mn sotware as it is). Some games (like Grand Theft Auto) were definitely copies. Others like Warcraft and the Sims were definitely legit. All depends on what you want to pay ! :D
