Tablets in Thailand

Featured Replies

I am looking for a tablet for my son who will be 10 very soon.

I would like a 7 inch model from perhaps Acer, Asus, maybe a Samsung Tab 3 Lite though I have just found on the internet a Lenove Yoga tablet 8 with an 8 inch screen.

I would like it to run on 2 or 3G (not where I live yet) and wifi, possibility of front and rear camera but not improtant.

There is an Acer and a Lenovo 7 inch model both with 16 Gb, 3G, wifi etc for about 6,300 baht and I also saw a Galaxy tab with 8Gb but I missed the price on that.

Can anybody help me with advice and prices?

Thank you for your help.

If you have a smartphone with 2G/3G you can set it up as WiFi hotspot.

No need for 2G/3G on tablet only WiFi.

Thank you for the information.

The problem with that is once he is away from the house there is no free wifi available so it really needs 2G/3G.

He can use the Wifi around the house OK using my or my wife's smartfone.

I do a lot of the time.

At home he can use the Wifi but not in the village 500 metres away even though there is an AIS tower half way between us as he has to log in on 2G as we have no 3G out here yet.
