iphone 4 -water damage

Featured Replies

OK my iphone 4 had a minor encounter with some water on a bench top .Nothing major.

Anyway dried it and took all the necessary steps no minimise potential damage.

No go . So took to Tutkum .

3 weeks , but they said can't fix.

Opened phone up and water damage sensor intact .

Switched batteries from girls iphone into mine and voila , phone boots up .

Screen fine , battery working fine , message to connect to itunes - Don't like it , error message recommends to take to Apple store for service.

This iphone was unlocked here in Thailand -originally from Oz.

I am speculating that its a software issue only - Will apple here in Pattaya service this iphone?

Thank you

A similar thing happened to mine but had to buy a new I phone

You shouldn't have turned it on.May have short circuited it.My phone got damp,I didn't turn it on.I went right away and put it in rice for 3 days. After that it was ok.You might have to get it to Apple.

Had apple looked at the phone and the unit is fully functional -except its locked by the original carrier in Australia.

I paid 3000 bht to have it unlocked here and it worked successfully -until now.

Its a total brick now , but maybe able to be salvaged back in Oz.
