Just been through this myself. I am blind in my right eye since birth so when I got double vision in my left eye this was a tad worrying.

So went to Rutnin Eye Hospital in Asoke and it was a cataract. The opthalmologist operated 2 days later and within 24 hours I could see again - the operation is done under local anesthetic and the worst part is the needle in the eye.

Good luck, but you should get it checked out.

It's called "dry eye" my friend. Normally from age. You should get some eye drops and use them often. I get the same problem.

Thanks for that.

For some time I have been having some problem with what I can only describe as " tired eyes" and deteriorating eyesight.

Using that grid, fine with my left eye, but double lines( noticeably so ) with my right eye.

Best I have an eye test I guess, I`m 51 don`t wear glasses, read a lot, mostly on line.

Be sure to have an exam by an opthalmologist, not an eye test by an optomostrist. As mentioned in various orior posts htis oculd be sign of a cataract, glaucome or other eye disease.

Beware of "optometrists " in Thailand !

"Traditionally in Thailand, eye care is not considered as a primary care through the

medical community; however, glasses and contact lens prescriptions can only be legally obtained
from a licensed ophthalmologist. In reality, prescription glasses and contact lens are commonly
obtained through refractionists that practice halfway optometry through apprenticeship without
formal training or licensure. Although, it was illegal to practice optometry without proper
training but popular demands in eye care have forced these untrained refractionists into assuming
the roles of pseudo-eye specialists. In turn, such interaction with the patients brought risks to the
patients’ eye health due to lack of in-depth knowledge in binocular functionality and diseases of
the eyes. Regardless of few enthusiastic voices from the refractionists’ community to further
their knowledge base, external pressures stemmed from Thailand’s medical community, puts the
refractionists at bay from becoming primary care providers. As the result, optometry
development in Thailand was painstakingly slow compared to her neighboring countries. Most
of the Southeast Asia countries such as Philippine, Malaysia or Hong Kong already have some
forms of formal optometric education and training. Since its creation in late 1970’s, Thai
Optometric Association has been trying to get formal education in optometry but not to much
avail. It was only recently when the efficacy of optometry in delivering primary eye care was
proven around the world and the major budget pressures to train sufficient amounts of ............................................................"

Still mystified by the prescription of 81mg of aspirin.

Sent from my iPad using ThaiVisa app

Why would you be mystified about that? It has improved my sight, since doing it.... it helps thins the blood in the blood vessels. ...

It is used for people with heart problems too...

I know a couple of people who live in the "west" and were given the same prescription.... for the same diagnosis...

If it does get worse which so far not, then I (or anyone) , would need, to see a specialist, my local Doc would send me to a hospital in Surratthannii or possibly Hat Yai. The Doc and I, have discussed that already ... so far no need... thumbsup.gif

That grid test pictured, was also given to me ... thumbsup.gif
