Savannakhet Multi Entry. Change permission to stay
Thanks. Since the ME visa expires on the 21st April I do not think I can use it to get the extension. I thought to apply for the extension I must have a valid non o visa. I am working months of the year so the retirement visa is not an option. Yes. I do not want to speak bad of anyone but the extension desk at Jomtien is a nightmare. I don't want to go there. The last 60 day extension at Trat was very friendly. She even gave my wife her phone number and,a list of papers needed to get the Non o and extension. It is just a long journey from Pattaya so I avoid it in low season. Thanks for your advice -

The usa securities enforcement commissioner is Mark Uyeda, a lawyer appointed by president Joe Biden in 2022 to a top position in the SEC. President Trump appointed him Chairman of the SEC in January 2025, when the prior chairman resigned. In theory the SEC is an independent agency acting autonomously to oversee the smooth functioning of the securities markets to keep markets free of insider trading or manipulation. This organization has been very quiet for decades. Seems more like an insiders club then an actual watchdog. I would guess the person appointing him to the top SEC chairman position would be immune from any oversight or investigation. -

The basic tension in the US/China trade relationship is that the US has been living beyond its means, whereas China has been living well beneath them, repressing wages to keep export prices competitive. Faced with the loss of external markets, the Chinese leadership is now re-orienting the economy towards domestic consumption to pick up the slack, which will lessen the impact of the trade war on ordinary citizens. It thereby has a lot of capacity to absorb lost American sales. -
