earthquake?

Featured Replies

Just a minute ago the whole house was shaking here not far from Doi Saket.

Anybody else ?

the biggest shake (16:15) i have felt in 10 years in Muang Chiang Mai and more aftershocks now

Looking around from my rooftop location, no visible dame to buildings, but a lot of hollering from the bar beer centre Loi Kroh (aka the Cauldron)

i was lying in bed and thought i get sea sick ,rushed outside and saw the water sloshing around in containers....biggest one i remember here in 12 years.

Thought I would spill my Gin & Tonic. Watched the carport pillars wobbling and the water splashing out of the pool. Seemed stronger than the one about four years ago. Maybe the one in Tokyo this morning sparked it off.

5.9 reported in Chiang Mai

I'm on the 12th floor and it scared the sh*t out of us, it lasted for at least a minute and the sway/noise was amazing (and I've experienced tremors in southern calif before).

5.8 according to the news, it emptied the entire building of Japanese (there's loads) but very few other nationalities, odd really because it was very severe.

As a result, i guess, elevator in my condo stop working. Good for some excercise after dinnersmile.png

I'm going to start closing up the duplicate topics, must be 20 of them now. Will keep one open in the Chiang Mai forum and there is a formal News report now.
