Visa run for my Motorbike - Where to go?

Featured Replies

I rode my motorbike up from Singapore at the weekend. As the bike will be here longer than a month I need to do a border run to export and then reimport the bike. Looking at the the map it seems the nearest option is Krong Paoy Paet border crossing. Does anyone have experience of having been there and whether it's easy enough? Can I get out and back in the same day? Is there any other crossing which might be easier or nearer? Comments and advise appreciated.

Thanks

You are in Bkk? Poi Pet is probably the closest.

Poi Pet is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Bkk. Quite easy to get to. So yes, you can do it in a day, assuming you can get your paperwork completed, but it is a long ride.

Soundman. Thanks for that . Long ride no problem. I just rode my bike up from Singapore is just over 2 days.

Is there any paperwork need to get the bike into / out of Cambodia ? Would you know by any chance ?
