Manchester City will complete a £14.5million deal for FC Porto’s defensive midfielder Fernando this week.

City are also expected to confirm the signing of France right-back Bacary Sagna once his contract at Arsenal officially expires.

DM

Not surprised, since Arsenal seem to have become City's farmer club.

I'm not in the least concerned about him. I think we've had his best, he is somewhat prone to being caught upfield and isn't that good a crosser of the ball. I suspect he's happy earning bucketloads to sit on the bench for a few years; This is his retirement contract.

I'm not expecting much from Sagna either. Still a decent enough RB and will insure Zabaleta doesn't play darn near every minute of every match.

I've seen some talk that Lukaku could be loaned to Atletico Madrid. Makes sense. Strange how it worked out that the two CL finalists have this incestuous relationship.

???? Not sure ofthe relevance of Real Madrid?

villa's two close-season signings so far are senderos from fulham and joe cole. how depressing it must be for villa fans.

Arsenal still trawling for championship players.

The Express reports that Arsenal are ready to launch an £8million bid for Cardiff's David Marshall after missing out on Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas, with former Barcelona star and Liverpool target Victor Valdes also on their radar.

In other news...Remy deal agreed in principle with Spurs. (Source is Goal so don't count your cockerels just yet)wink.png

Not exactly a signing to get excited about!

For the price you will pay I think he will actually be a bargain. If he gets good service (Eriksen), he is a very good finisher, especially on the counter.

few places have reported luke shaw to united on a deal of £160k a week. not sure if it's gospel or not yet.

Believe it when he's signed mate, can't even trust the broadsheets at this time of year, unfortunately.

I use a well known 'all source' aggregator and it is just soooo annoying weeding out the tripe.
