Visa Run Woes?

Featured Replies

I hope you can see this thread, it may interest some:

It is on Facebook and started 45 minutes ago:

Hey all I have a big issue! I'm at the border in Mae Sai and they aren't letting anyone through! They are saying new regulations we can only fly out of the country and won't let me cross into Myanmar. Anyone know what's up?? This is for everyone here mostly Canadian and American on different types of visas

There is a topic about this on Thai visas forum.

Have they shut it down for everybody or just those without visas or re-entry permits is the question.

Don't think it is affecting everyone - my wife (Thai) and our friend (French with normal 30 day tourist visa) are currently shopping on the Myanmar side of Mae Sai) and had no difficulty leaving Thailand - not quite the same as a visa run I know

propaly still be able to get a vip pass, agian i no not a visa run, feel sorry if people being turned away, must be a horrible feeling, and going to be very expensive for some people.
