Looking for any recommendations for a good tailor. I need to do alterations on quite few pairs of pants (suit pants and for work). Not just taking in the waistline but proportionate alteration down to the crotch area. Without any other input, my strategy is going to have to be randomly picking one of these tailor shops in the tourist areas. That may work out OK but I sure would like to have some actual recommendations. Thanks.

I have not had alterations done but can say that Thai Tailor on Rachadamnoen are very attentive. I have had shirts, trousers and jackets made over the years and never had any problems. They are located about four hundred metres up from Black Canyon.

I want to say a word for my favorite tailor, the guy who has his ancient treadle machine set up 5 days a week on the SW corner of Loy Kroh, across the street from Siam Cafe. Right there on the street. He's a great guy and does very good work.
