I live near to Meechok Plaza in Tambon Sanpiisua. For years the garbage collectors have taken plastic, glass, cans etc that I separate from the other garbage. Two weeks ago a new company has taken over and they do not collect these items. A phone call to the municipality was met with the reply that they do not recycle!

I am therefore looking for a recycling centre where I can take this material. Any suggestions other than the usual "leave it in the street and someone will take it"?

Try this number but they only speak Thai. If you save up a bit they will come and pick it up and pay you a small amount for it,,,,,

glass , plastic, newspapers cardboard as well as cans and some others... Not a lot of money, but more than you are getting now...Good Luck.

We give them a call every couple months and kids get a good boost in the tip jar.
