Anyone With updates about the swine flu situation in Thailand! Wife to a good friend of me was recently admitted at hospital with H1N1 and when she thankfully recovered after a short week in hospital my friend was a bit shocked that his wife not had to make a report about here whereabouts before she felt the first symptoms, i.e. where she eventually had travelled and who she had spent time together with to prevent the virus to spread to others or at least tell near ones to take a blood check.

The virus is already thoroughly endemic here so prevention efforts are focused on vaccinating the public. It's years too late to try to contain it through quarantine and the like.

There have been 30,000 confirmed cases thus far this year and that is probably just a fraction of actual cases since people with mild illnesses often do not get medical attention.

Vaccination is readily available and free for Thai nationals if they all into high risk groups.
