Thai post to Russia...any experiences/advice?

Featured Replies

I've sent many a package by Thai post with great results but never to Russia which I must now do. Can I have faith that it will arrive? Does anyone have experience with this?

Cheers...

You will probable get a better answer in the Phucket or Pattaya Forum. whistling.gif Sorry just had too.cheesy.gif

I've sent a couple of things to Russia and they have been delivered no problem.

It seems to be a bit slower than Europe but you can use the tracking even with ordinary registered mail (which is better than UK and Aus where you need EMS to track!).

Tracking is at www.russianpost.ru

Seems to be a lot of "sorting" going on within Russia but it gets there eventually.

About 3 weeks for the last thing I sent.

the wife ships parcels to Russia several times per month. she's never mentioned anything going missing by registered Airmail, but like another poster said, it takes about 3 weeks.

Have recent experience the other way around, getting something shipped from Ukraine to Chiang Mai. Via regular registered air mail, arrived in 9 days. Yes that's Ukraine and not Russia but you'd expect it to be somewhat similar. Package was traceable all the way through, showing up on the Thailand post website under the same tracking number site after leaving Ukraine.
