iPhone 5 'No Sim'

Featured Replies

My iPhone is showing 'no sim' in top left corner of screen. I am with AIS.

I am currently out of the country and wondered if anyone else has had this problem?

I have taken out the SIM card, cleaned it with light alcohol swab as directed online but it hasn't helped.

It's not a disaster as using it on wifi only. Hope it is a damaged sim & nothing to do with the phone.

I'd suggest acquiring a free or inexpensive SIM CARD from a local carrier compatible with your phone and try.

It's not uncommon for a SIM CARD to go bad and stop working. But it could also be the phone.

Yep, tested local SIM card yesterday & it worked. Looks like a trip to AIS to get a new SIM card. Phew!
