Will A Thai Prescription Hold Up In Malaysia?

Featured Replies

Hey,

I've got an an overnight flight (23:55-08:30) from KL to Adelaide Saturday night and can not sleep on planes, if I go get a prescription for some sleeping pills from a clinic in Thailand I won't get in any trouble will I?

Cheers

So you fly from BKK to KUL and from there to Adelaide? Nobody can guarantee you what will happen, since we don't even know what medication you exactly plan to take with you. However, Southeast Asia is not really the best place to get in trouble with any kind of restricted drugs. Have you tried getting some non-prescription stuff like Atarax or Promethazine? Otherwise make sure you have a signed paper with you that carries both your name and the name of your prescribing doctor as well as the medication. And only take as little as possible. Better be safe than sorry. But even then you'll have no guarantee.

Moved to health forum.

With a prescription and a doctor's report from a hospital you will be fine.
