BOI company visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have 2-year BOI visa, and have heard there's a separate / expedited channel at airport immigration for such visa holders.

Is there any truth to this?

Thanks

That's correct. With a BOI privileges non-immigrant B visa, you are entitled to use the Fast Track queues with departures and arrivals, regardless of ticket class. You will be asked by the attendant at the entrance to show your visa.

Thanks, and where do the Fast track privileges start? At the time of check-in, or only from immigration onwards?

Where exactly is the Fast Track lane / counter?

It's Fast Track immigration only. Priority check-in is managed by the airlines, and generally only available if you are travelling business class or above, or have a gold frequent flyer card with their alliance.

Look for the VIP/Crew/Fast Track entrance signs roughly in the middle of the terminal, both on departure and on arrival. Airport load is presently so light that you might find it just as fast to pass through normal immigration, especially if your departure or arrival is closer to one of those channels. Last night, there were so few people in arrivals immigration that there were no queues at all, with many booths just waiting with nobody in their queue. For those who purchase Fast Track privileges, it is definitely not worth the money right now.
