I have now been back in the uk just under 3 weeks and have experienced a few health problems although nothing thats causing me any disruption.

2 days after returning i developed a rash between my legs and around my bottom that was diagnosed as a sweat rash (jock itch) due to the very intense heat i encountered while there, the chemist provided me with a hydrocortisone creams which cleared this up in a few days.

I was also experiencing very mild twangs in my stomach which in the last two days have got more severe, its like a stomach cramp (although still not causing me disruption),haven't been sick,no fever, blood pressure and temp normal

is it possible for a stomach bug to develop so long after coming home?,can anyone offer any advice or has anyone experienced similar problems???,

Probably just your body readjusting to a change of diet, that is assuming that you were eating Thai food during your stay here,as well as the time change Jet Lag and all that.

Maybe you drunk to excess during your stay as well.

I'm by no means a doctor but all these things are relevant from personal experience.

Maybe,Im sure others with a more health oriented background may come along and answer your question further but remember it's gone midnight here so many of the more health knowledgable members are sleeping.

3 weeks on, unlikely to be anything you picked up here. More likely readjustment to a change in diet. Or gastritis which one can have anywhere,

Some things to consider:

Have you had this before? What are your regular bowel habits and have they changed? (Don't post here, just consider). Are you currently moving your GI at least once a day, if that is your normal? Formed? Any reflux in throat? Any blood on toilet paper? Is your tummy painful to touch? Fever? Wake you at night? What makes it better and makes it worse?

Consider these things and if your inner voice says something is not right, it is likely correct; trust your body and don't worry about bothering anyone. If this persists please have a doctor evaluate you. Sometimes things happen that are just coincidental to a trip, and so we may overlook something important thinking its not. If you think something is wrong, and your not generally a whiner, then act on it.
