Rubber floor tiles

Featured Replies

Its not something you can get off the shelf here.

you need to think laterally for rubber flooring and google companies dealing with safety flooring, sports hall surfaces and other non slip flooring companies.

i suggest you try google "FLOORAMENT" they are the import contact company who I gather import into a distributer here probably in the back of beyond, but you may be lucky and its chiang mai.

actually no different to the uk, you also cannot pick it up off the shelf, you need to go through a supplier who will obtain it for you.

good luck

Much appreciated eyecatcher. Readily confess that I thought it would just be a matter of price and colour choice when I started looking as its such a decent product and surprised its not readily available but I'll follow up as you suggest and report back if I find.

Thank you.

Yes, please do Mahseer.

I too am looking for such a product in Chiangmai.I've checked out Sincharoen Rubber Company who seem to have the goods. Unfortunately their "Where to buy" page comes up blank. I've emailed them but if my experience with "Info" email addresses in Thailand holds true, I won't get an answer.

I too will report here if I discover anything useful.

Please tell us why you prefer rubber tiles (which sound most unhygienic) over non slip bathroom tiles or non slip mats such as we have.

The wife spoke to the same 10 minutes ago and they advised they do not have a Chiang Mai outlet. Have mailed them with an order enquiry so lets see what they say but I only need 5 sq mts but fingers crossed.

Progress folks. Had the wife e mail to:<removed> in Thai and received a reply within the hour:

"กระเบื้องยางลายเหรียญ ขนาด 50cm.x50cm.x3.5mm. ราคา 1,450 ่บาท/ตร.ม สินค้าขายยกกล่อง 1 กล่อง = 5 ตร.ม ราคายังไม่รวม Vat.".

Which I believe is 1,450baht/sq mtr and each box is 5 sq mts + vat. I did ask for colour options but no reply. Not cheap but I'll go ahead and order a box.

cooked: why rubber? For me I don't care for ceramc flooring and rubber offers a very robust product with the added benefit that I can install. Besides I am down to my last teapot and if the wife sends this one flying maybe, just maybe it will survive.
