Women warned not to bet in the World Cup or they may find themselves ending up in flesh trade

A prominent psychologist warns Thai women against gambling in the World Cup or they may find themselves end up in the sex trade.

Wanlop Piyamanotham (วัลลภ ปิยะมโธรรม), honorary adviser to the Advisory Centre on Human Potential Development of Srinakharinwirot University, said a large number of women who are closely following up the World Cup should not bet at all or they could plunge into debts and may have to sell themselves to pay their debts.

Mr. Wanlop said World Cup viewers should try to manage their time wisely and realize that soccer is just a game so they will not take results of the competitions too seriously.
