Children in Koh Samui?

Featured Replies

Looks like we will be staying in Koh Samui for several months with our 5 year old son, 3 year old son and 7 month old daughter.

Anyone have children who would like to meet up for a swim, going to the beach or just playing? smile.png

Just a few observations -

It is the major summer holiday for the International schools on Samui so lots of kids have gone off to their countries of origin to see families.

You might want to mention the area where you are staying. People with children on Samui tend not to travel too far to go to the beach.

For what it is worth - usually quite a few families on Choengmon beach.

Good luck.

We are staying with our two children (girl 10 & boy 15) on Bangrak Beach until the end of August. Our kids are as well in dire need of some playmates to get them off their electronic toys smile.png . The younger one will go to the summer school at the ISS in August. Language-wise, we are flexible: English, French, German or Mandarin speaking playmates would be fine.

If you have transport - a popular beach for youngsters is Choengmon. It's not too far from Bangrak.

Bangrak is a bit busy with all of the commercial sea faring traffic.

There is also a kids play area called Fairways on the road to departures at the airport. It is past the arrivals turnoff and on the next right hand bend coming from Bangrak.

Both Big C and Tesco Lotus have kids play-zones and there is a bowling alley and a cinema at Tesco Lotus.

Sorry that I cannot be more helpful - my own kids are in their 30's and living in the UK thumbsup.gif

I had 7 kids round at my gaff near Lamai last week (kids of friends) and they all squatted down in a room playing iPads. Not talking to each other. No Sir. Then.... one lad opened his Papa's laptop to play summink called “minecraft” and he was joined online by a few friends and a crowd formed by that said laptop for a while to watch the “minecraft” activity

I tried to encourage em to go out and climb some trees or play football but they looked at me with strong incredulity

My recommendation is to purchase "minecraft"
