Ah, I see, so they still do them there in Penang but they're looking for the 400k lump sum amount rather than 40k a month. Okey doke. I might try that, but it would be a bit of a wasted trip if I only got a single entry, and a hassle to put 400k in a Thai account if that's not really necessary. I'll figure I'll be going to Savanakhet instead then, or come back to the UK and do it if the time lines up conveniently. It doesn't sound like too much has changed for the non-O marriage ppl then, thankfully. Thanks for your response.
