PMak
looks interesting, i'd like to give it a try seems you can get it on ebay but i don't know how well it would survive 2-3 weeks in the post? If shipped within Thailand then it's okay. Outside of Thailand for one you might not make it past customs and it'll likely be too long. If you're in Phuket I have Kombucha Scobies and Apple Cider Vinegar Scobies. Enjoy the "buch". PS: Some more info on Kombucha: http://eatlocalgrown.com/article/13457-18-healthy-reasons-to-sip-kombucha.html

If you're in Phuket I can save you the hassle of shipping. Cheers.
stevehaigh
i understand it takes about 2 weeks to make a batch, 1 week for fermenting and another for aging. after the first week it looks like you can take the leftover Kombucha and use it as a new starter so the people in Phuket who have kindly offered to share it should have some spare in a week or so. the cool thing is, it ferments at relatively high temp, 25-30degC which is perfect for Phuket this time of year, no special cooling required like you need with wine and beer
zungmay
Hi I am looking for a Kombucha starter muschroom. I am in Phuket near Chalong. Thinking some Probiotic would be helpful. I was making it 6 years ago and gave many away but I stopped making it and gave all away. Would like to try again and also KEFIR grains too. I tried one restaurant in Phuket and the person selling it would not give it to me. Anyone willing to share? Thank you in advance.

chercheur888
For what its worth, I saw that at a Chapayom kiosk near Chalong Police station they had Kombucha on their menu, but I did not try it, so don't blame me if it is not what you're used to.
