Problems with Google Chrome.

Featured Replies

Google Chrome has changed suddenly, I'm having a big problem trying to scroll, it just keeps sticking all the time. I have a sniper game which I play, and suddenly the telescopic sight on the rifle is all over the place.

When I go to Mozilla, there is no problem at all with the scrolling or the telecopic sight, so the problem is obviously with Google Chrome. Any ideas how to fix it?

This has only happened in the last two days, and was OK all the time before that.

Possibly need a Flash update. AFAIK it's built-in to Chrome already so you'll have to wait for an automatic update or use a different browser. Apart from that, check you extensions/plugins. Sometimes they get added without you being aware of it.

I use Chrome and for the last 2 days I've also been having scrolling and page offset (page half off screen) problems. The problems seem to come and go with no consistency.

Like the OP, Firefox seems to be working fine.

Have you tried resetting it?

Oh, and I suddenly realised that maybe what you are talking about is that Chrome will not allow you to scroll until the page has fully loaded?

This has in the past been blamed on Adblock and WOT addons. If you are running either, try disabling them and see what happens.

Yes, I tried resetting it and also uninstalled it and reinstalled it again. My updates have been turned off, I have turned them back on again, I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

But the fact that Firefox is OK, you must say it is Chromes fault.

It would seem that Google Chrome is just a rubbish browser.

Well I have Adblock Plus and WOT running and I do not experience the symptoms you describe

I'd certainly agree with that.... Firefox is much better! So many things Chrome went let you do.... a total waste of time! facepalm.gifbah.gif

I binned it a few months ago, too memory hungry and slowed my com right down, back to FF no problems since.

Well I do, and using Chrome effed up my com, reverted back to FF, no problemos.

I'm replacing it with Opera and using Firefox as my main browser. I'll see how that goes.

ironic: I ditched FF when Chrome came along because FF had become so bloated; Chrome seemed so simple and clean.

The worm has turned, I guess. Back to Firefox.

Yes Chrome has to be avoided, I am now using Firefox and Opera. let me mention that Chrome is having the same problem when I use my laptop as well as my desktop, which proves that the fault lies entirely with Chrome. I will never use Chrome again.

Both FF and Chrome have updated in recent days.
